Our plans were to leave for the beach right after work on Thursday. I was worried about going because Katie was throwing up that morning. We finally figured out it was her antibiotic she was taking for her ear infection. UGGHH. Anyway, we made it to the beach around 9 that evening. Our plan was to leave late so Katie could sleep during the ride. Didn't happen...but I must say she was a good little traveler. We were lazy Friday. We just sat around the condo and played with cousins. Saturday we went to the beach. I was so excited. Last summer I had to hold Katie because she was barely even sitting up. I just knew that she would love it since she could run free. Boy was I wrong. She would not put even one toe in the sand. I would try and put her down and she would raise her legs up as far as she could. I sat her on a beach towel and she really didn't even like that. Luckily her Aunt Renee brought a "pack in play " out on the beach. She got in and was a happy girl. She played in that thing and never fussed. I think I am going to have to buy a sandbox so she can practice playing in the sand before we go back in June. We went to eat Sunday and I wanted to get her picture in the sand by the sea oats. I though no big deal since she would have shoes on. She remembered the sand. It took about 5 of us acting crazy to get a couple of decent pictures. Also the family picture would have been good had there not been a hurrican around my head! All in all it was a good trip. We enjoyed spending time with our family and are not looking forward to going back to work. The video is of Katie unpacking. It was funny because her cousins Cole and Cade stayed in our condo. They were wrestling while Katie was checking out the clothes I had packed for her and the shoes I brought. Definite difference in a boy and a girl.
