Christmas Fun!

We have had so much fun this year. I can't believe it is almost over. We started our Christmas break with the Bryant Christmas party. Lots of food and fun. Saturday well really early Sunday morning before Christmas we made a fun little trip to the ER with Katie because she was coughing and could not catch her breath. By the time we got there she was fine. (of course) Anyway the doctor said it was the "theraputic ride", and they see that all the time. So back home and to bed for us. That afternoon Regan, Jason, Adam, and Rachel were coming in and we were taking the kids to ride the Polar Express. While on the train Katie spiked a fever. Fun! That night we were in the car riding around with her at 1:30 trying to get the coughing to stop. It did. The next morning I took her to the doctor and she was running fever and had the CROUP! NICE. Very contagious while she had fever. We had to stay in the house for two days. I could not see adam or rachel. It made us sad. Christmas Eve was great! Mom, dad, regan, adam jason, rachel, me, shannon, and Katie all spent the night. The next morning the kids got to have their Christmas together. It was the best one I could remember in a long time. That night we went to my sister in laws and had a wonderful meal. Life just can't get better than times like that. I was very sad to see my sister and her family go. Katie kept asking for them and it was hard to explain that they had to go home. Today I got to spend time with some friends I had not seen in awhile.
Katie is talking so much. She cracks me up on a daily basis. I can't believe God blessed me with such a sweet little girl. Sometimes it hits me that she is really mine! She will be two in about a week and a half. I don't know where the time has gone but I am cherishing each and every moment.

Thanksgiving

Katie is growing and changing so much everyday. She is talking up a storm. I can't believe what all she can say. She is even starting to sing songs! Thanksgiving day was different this year. This was the first year without my sister in law Nita. We still had it at her house but it was very hard. We had a couple of breakdowns at times but all in all it was still a good day. We tried to get some cute pictures but as you will see...kiddos were not cooperating. Christmas is now only days away and I can't wait. I love this season and even now it is so much fun with Katie. I am so thankful for everything the Lord has blessed me with. I have a great family, friends, job, and everything I need. I feel so blessed.

It has been awhile!

So many things have been going on. We have been to the pumpkin patch, Halloween came and went, we took Katie to the zoo she rode her first train ride, and we went to Homestead Hollow. We have been very busy but we have enjoyed every bit of it. Family is so important. It takes almost a devastating event for you to realize. One of my nephews Easton gave us a scare where we thought he might have cancer. With lots of prayers we found out that he was perfect! I am so blessed with everything that God has given me. I try so hard to thank Him everyday because I know in an instant it can all be gone. Thank God for what you have today! Enjoy the pictures and videos.

Baptism

Katie and new baby Rachel were baptized this past Sunday. I was so glad to be able to share that experience with my sister and her little girl. Both babies cried (mommy did too) but it was a wonderful experience. I miss my sister and wish everyday she lived closer. Adam stayed with me most of the week. We had a great time.

Alabama 2009 For Daddy

Last night was the first Auburn and Alabama game of the season. Since Auburn was not televised we went ahead and put on a special outfit for daddy. For those of you who don't know we are a house divided. While Shannon was in the shower I dressed Katie in her Alabama jersey. She was so cute! We went to a family members house and had a great time. We were worried because Katie had not had a nap all day but she did great! No fussing and played with all of the big kids!

Cute Video

This is just a video one night after bath time. Excuse her hair!

It's About Time

I know it has been forever and I am sorry for those of you that follow. My computer crashed. All of my pictures of my baby are on my computer. Stupid me never saved them anywhere else. Shannon is working on it daily to try and get my pictures back. My therapy is blogging and facebook so I have been in a lost world. I am on Shannons computer now and not liking it. I miss my computer. Anyway...enough about me.
A lot has happened lately. We went to an allergist after Katies 18 month check up and found out she is allergic to nuts. We have 5 epi pens now and are very very careful about what she eats. So far we have had no problems. Another big even was that Katie started daycare. She loves it! She is so good during the day. The teachers love her. The only problem is every morning when I drop her off she cries. The teachers say she is finished as soon as I walk out the door so I am convinced she is trying to make me feel bad. Everyone says she will grow out of it but I am not so sure. I still cry sometimes when I have to leave my mom. I think it is in her blood. My mom has always said my bladder is under my eyes...so hers might be also. We had our first fight over clothes a couple of days ago. Let me remind you she is not 13...she is only 20 months! I had picked out an outfit...she threw a fit. The bad part is that she can undress herself now. I showed her somthing else and she said NO. I said what do you want to wear? She went to the closet and picked out her sunday dress! I mean...she was determined. And so it begins. We welcomed Rachel Lauren Thompson into our family on August 19th. She weighed 5lbs 7 oz and was 18 inches long. Mom was able to stay in Illinois with my sister for 2 1/2 weeks. All are doing good. Katie went to her second birthday party yesterday at Pump It Up! She loved it. She was such a big girl! Katie is now sick with a horrible cold. Of course I am freaking out..SWINE FLU....but she does not have any fever so I guess I can relax a bit. Let me tell you...I don't know how kids produce so much snot! It is like her brains come out when she sneezes. Maybe a little too much info...but oh well. Have a blessed day. In the pictures..the poka dot dress is the winner from the fight.
