Easter Weekend!

We started getting ready for Easter on Thursday by coloring eggs. Saturday we went on an Easter egg hunt and Katie slept through the whole thing. Sunday morning we got up and went to a sunrise service, had a wonderful breakfast at church, went to visit mom and dad, and then went to Shannon's brothers house to spend time with family. Katie got to be with her cousins!!!! We had another big egg hunt that afternoon and what do you know, Katie slept through the whole thing. Sometimes I wish I could sleep that much. It was a good time to spend with family on such a happy day!

Last Day of Spring Break!

Well today Katie stayed home with Daddy today while I took Adam and mom to the zoo. It was the most perfect day to be outside. At the zoo I rode a train, carosel, and a CAMEL!!!! Katie had a good time with dad at home just resting. She was up late last night. Dad had a good experience though. He had to give Katie a bath by himself because she had a blowout if you know what I mean. LOL Katie has on her blue jeans and tennis shoes for the first time. Her feet look really big in the picture, but I promise they are not that big.

10 Weeks Today!

I just realized Katie is 10 weeks old today!!! Time is flying by. Here are some more pictures of the weekend.

Family Time

Sorry it has been awhile since I have posted. We have been very busy! Thursday my brother and nephew drove in from St. Louis. While they were here we had a big cookout with my mom, dad, sister, and nephew. Friday we went to eat Mexican and celebrated my nephew Andrews birthday. Mike and Andrew left Saturday morning so Andrew could get back to study for his exams. Sunday Shannon went out of town so it was just Katie and myself again! Monday we packed up, picked up Mom and Adam and headed for the Space Center. When we were approaching the space center and saw the rocket in the distance, I thought Adam was going to jump out of the car. He was so excited. (A little background for those of you who don't know.) Adam loves anything about space and can probably tell you more than you would ever want to know about space. Anyway we had a good time. On the way home I asked Adam what his favorite part about the trip was and he said, "The Gift Shop". Go figure! Last night he and Nana came for a sleep over! We had a good time dying easter eggs and watching a movie. No one went to sleep until midnight. Katie is now down for a nap and adam is still asleep. Mom and I are getting to chit chat without any interuptions. We are looking forward to Shannon coming home this evening. Friday we are headed to the zoo for a camel ride!

Two Months Old!

Well my baby is two months old. We went to the doctor today and it was an experience. She weighs 11lbs and 6 oz and she is 22 inches long. She is very healthy. She is able to start drinking 5-6 oz of formula. At the end of the visit she had to have four shots. This was the most pitiful thing I have ever seen. She cried real tears for the first time. Mommy almost cried tears too. It hurt me to see her so upset. I know it is for her own good though. We don't have to go back until May for her 4 month checkup. Sunday we took her to church for the first time. Everyone thought she was so cute!!! She was good until right at the end. She told Brother John that his time was up! I am glad the weather is getting better so we can get her out into the world more. We also had some out of town company visit on Sunday. We went to eat Mexican and had a great time. Snow!!!

This is our second time to see snow since Katie has been born. Again she is sleeping right through it.

8 Weeks Today!

Today we celebrated 8 weeks by going to my school. We went to visit all of the teachers and my kids got to see her. They were so excited. She was so good. It was so great to see everyone. Makes me miss school, but not the work. I am adding pictures of the last week. Today Katie held one of her toys for so long. It was probably just an accident but of course I had to take a picture. I finally found a way to put a bow on her head. She is not thrilled but she lets it stay on for awhile. She has learned to wiggle her head around to push it off. Again probably just an accident but it is cute. I have also included some pictures of friends and family. Enjoy!
