Big Girl

Katie is growing up way too fast. She like to clean, loves to talk on the phone, and wants to cook. She is definately a girl!

Illinois Trip

Mom, Katie, Adam, and myself went to Illinois for a week. We decided to take th 10 hour drive in 2 days. The first day was ok until about an hour and a half out from our hotel. Katie was finished. She screamed so hard because she wanted out of her seat. WE finally got to the hotel around 9 and she was giddy. She was running around squealing in the hotel room. I was worried someone would complain. The next morning we set out on our journey to Illinois and it was an easy trip. We were so excited to get there and Adam was so excited to see his friends. WHile we were there we painted the nursery for Regan and painted Adams room. I will be getting a new niece in a few weeks. The day we left we drove to St. Louis to see my brothers and their family. That night we spend the night in Clarksville and then headed home the next morning. Needless to say I will not be taking a road trip anytime soon. Here are some pictures of Regans house and Adam riding his bike with no training wheels.

Summer

We have had such a great summer so far. Adam was here for one month. At first Katie was mean to him. She would hit him and scream. After a couple of weeks she got used to him and really started loving on him.

Beach/Fathers Day

Summer vacation is finally here. Right after school I had to go to a workshop for two weeks. It was not fun but what got me through was thinking about the beach trip. Adam came down during the second week of my workshop. My niece Michelle and her friend Ali flew in on the 12th. At 10 on the 13th we left in two vehicles headed to the beach. ( BTW my camera had a foggy spot when I was trying to take pictures on the beach. I was so upset) We had rented a house on the beach with a pool back in October. We had a total of 8 adults and 8 kids in the house. Katie did not like the beach all that much. In the middle of the week she started accepting it for what it was but was still not happy about it. Shannon and I never got to spend any time together on the beach. One of us was with Katie and one was with Adam. Neither of the kids wanted to be in the same place at the same time. We went on several crab hunts. One night we caught 8 crab. I think it was because I was there and I would actually catch them in my hand. A grown man who was with us (I won't mention names) was a sissy and would not catch them. Adam thought this was the neatest thing. It was a huge success and free entertainment. Shannon took Adam to the U.S.S Alabama for a day. He loved it. For Fathers Day we went and had lunch with my dad and then Shannon went to play golf. It was a great day for him. He was able to play 18 holes and then added another 9. What more could a man ask for!

Very Busy

We are so busy these days. Katie is into everything. She can destroy a neat and tiday house in a matter of minutes. The good thing is that she likes to clean. She loves to throw things away..(shoes)...do laundry...(unfold the clean folded clothes)...and vacumme. She is so much fun though. She had her first big boo boo on her knee. She was running in the drive way and fell. It was pretty traumatizing for Katie and mommy. Katie went to my 5/6th grade dance. She was precious and loved every minute of it. I have two weeks of school left and then a two week workshop and then we will be heading to the beach. Can't wait!

Katie loves to be outside and loves to go to Kaylas. These are some cute pictures Kayla took today. Not much new in our neck of the woods. I am sooooo ready for school to get out. The kids are going crazy and it is making me go crazy. I can't wait to spend quality time with Katie this summer.
