Katie Turns 2!

It is hard to believe I now have a 2 year old. Time flies. I love this age. Katie makes me laugh daily and at the same time I am pulling my hair out. She makes messes and knows it, she throws tantrums and falls out in the floor, she sings, dances, and gives the best bear hugs in the world. She is so much fun. I am amazed everyday at what she is learning. Of course we think she is the smartest two year old ever! LOL We had our first big birthday party at the house. It was fun but boy was I tired after. Katie wanted a Backyardigans party. I found plates and decorations no problem. I waited until the day before to order the cake. I thought since there were so many decorations out there that the cake would be no problem. No one knew who the backyardigans were. We ended up with an Elmo/Big Bird cake. Katie did not care. She didn't even want to eat it. She takes after me about sweets. Things are busy around here and everyone is doing well. Katie has this fear that Santa is going to come get her. I have no idea where that comes from but it is a daily conversation. Any suggestions? The pictures and videos are from the birthday. Enjoy! P.S. The alabama hat on my head was for my husband during the National Championship Game. I have not converted!

Christmas Fun!

We have had so much fun this year. I can't believe it is almost over. We started our Christmas break with the Bryant Christmas party. Lots of food and fun. Saturday well really early Sunday morning before Christmas we made a fun little trip to the ER with Katie because she was coughing and could not catch her breath. By the time we got there she was fine. (of course) Anyway the doctor said it was the "theraputic ride", and they see that all the time. So back home and to bed for us. That afternoon Regan, Jason, Adam, and Rachel were coming in and we were taking the kids to ride the Polar Express. While on the train Katie spiked a fever. Fun! That night we were in the car riding around with her at 1:30 trying to get the coughing to stop. It did. The next morning I took her to the doctor and she was running fever and had the CROUP! NICE. Very contagious while she had fever. We had to stay in the house for two days. I could not see adam or rachel. It made us sad. Christmas Eve was great! Mom, dad, regan, adam jason, rachel, me, shannon, and Katie all spent the night. The next morning the kids got to have their Christmas together. It was the best one I could remember in a long time. That night we went to my sister in laws and had a wonderful meal. Life just can't get better than times like that. I was very sad to see my sister and her family go. Katie kept asking for them and it was hard to explain that they had to go home. Today I got to spend time with some friends I had not seen in awhile.
Katie is talking so much. She cracks me up on a daily basis. I can't believe God blessed me with such a sweet little girl. Sometimes it hits me that she is really mine! She will be two in about a week and a half. I don't know where the time has gone but I am cherishing each and every moment.

Thanksgiving

Katie is growing and changing so much everyday. She is talking up a storm. I can't believe what all she can say. She is even starting to sing songs! Thanksgiving day was different this year. This was the first year without my sister in law Nita. We still had it at her house but it was very hard. We had a couple of breakdowns at times but all in all it was still a good day. We tried to get some cute pictures but as you will see...kiddos were not cooperating. Christmas is now only days away and I can't wait. I love this season and even now it is so much fun with Katie. I am so thankful for everything the Lord has blessed me with. I have a great family, friends, job, and everything I need. I feel so blessed.

It has been awhile!

So many things have been going on. We have been to the pumpkin patch, Halloween came and went, we took Katie to the zoo she rode her first train ride, and we went to Homestead Hollow. We have been very busy but we have enjoyed every bit of it. Family is so important. It takes almost a devastating event for you to realize. One of my nephews Easton gave us a scare where we thought he might have cancer. With lots of prayers we found out that he was perfect! I am so blessed with everything that God has given me. I try so hard to thank Him everyday because I know in an instant it can all be gone. Thank God for what you have today! Enjoy the pictures and videos.
