18 months old!

Katie had her 18 month old check up yesterday and she is very healthy. The weighs 26lbs and 5 oz. She screamed while they took her temperature and measured her, but when they were looking in her ears and up her nose she just smiled. She had to get two shots but does not have to go back until she is 2. The bad part is that we have to go see an allergy doctor. (Little back ground... the doctor told us to try peanut butter at her 15 month check up. We tried but she turned her head. When she did the peanut butter got on her cheek. She immediately got red whelps all over her cheek.) The doctor wants her to have a test to see how bad the allergy is and if she is allergic to anything else. We go August 4th so we will see.
Katie is starting "big school" Monday. We are going to call it school...not daycare. Anyway we went to meet her teacher today. Miss Suzanne is so sweet. She showed us around and showed us Katies cubby. Katie loved it. I will take a picture Monday when I drop her off. I was very sad and probably will be on Monday, but today when I left I had an excited feeling for Katie.

I also wanted to say how very blessed I am. I have a family that loves me, a house, a job, and friends who take care of me. God is good.

Potty Time

OK I know she a little young but I had to buy Katie a potty. Everytime I go to the bathroom she wants to come in, sit on my lap, and clap when I go. (Probably more info. than some of you needed.) Recently she wants toilet paper so she can wipe, so I thought it was time. She loves the potty but she has not used it yet. She likes to sit on it and play with it. That is ok. I just wanted her to have one of her own. The other day Shannon had put her on the potty with no diaper. She sat for a minute..stood up and walked to the rug....and guess what...tee-teed. Imagine that. Anway...she will get it one day.

Big Girl

Katie is growing up way too fast. She like to clean, loves to talk on the phone, and wants to cook. She is definately a girl!

Illinois Trip

Mom, Katie, Adam, and myself went to Illinois for a week. We decided to take th 10 hour drive in 2 days. The first day was ok until about an hour and a half out from our hotel. Katie was finished. She screamed so hard because she wanted out of her seat. WE finally got to the hotel around 9 and she was giddy. She was running around squealing in the hotel room. I was worried someone would complain. The next morning we set out on our journey to Illinois and it was an easy trip. We were so excited to get there and Adam was so excited to see his friends. WHile we were there we painted the nursery for Regan and painted Adams room. I will be getting a new niece in a few weeks. The day we left we drove to St. Louis to see my brothers and their family. That night we spend the night in Clarksville and then headed home the next morning. Needless to say I will not be taking a road trip anytime soon. Summer

We have had such a great summer so far. Adam was here for one month. At first Katie was mean to him. She would hit him and scream. After a couple of weeks she got used to him and really started loving on him.
